This page is a tribute to the music lovers of Kolkata and the eminent artists who participated in the inaugural festival of Kala Sangam.
With listing of such eminent artists who graced our inaugural festival, it was extremely touching to see the response of the Kolkata Music Lovers, that the house was sold out within two days of opening of the counter. Streams of people who had come from out of Kolkata – as far as Durgapur, made fervent requests to be accommodated. With no seats vacant in the auditorium, it was a pleasure to have them sit on the stage like a Darbari Mehfil. While they offered to pay, we decided they should be our guests. Kala Sangam has never seen an empty hall since then, truly a blessing from the great Ustad.
